I am a native of Washington County and grew up on a farm on Mann Creek. I’ve enjoyed living in this area for over 40 years. While raising my family in the City of Weiser I have seen the growth that has created many challenges to both the city and the county.
I have been in law enforcement for the last 23 years with the Weiser Police Department. I hold a Basic Certificate, Intermediate Certificate, and an Advanced Certificate through the Idaho Police Officer’s Standards and Training Academy. During this time I have had the privilege to be of service to the Weiser area.
I have served as Vice President and President of the Southern Idaho Eastern Oregon Intelligence Organization. I have served as Liaison Officer for the Weiser Reserve Officer Organization. I am presently the Liaison Officer for the Citizens on Patrol.
I plan to develop a substation in Midvale as well as utilizing the substation in Cambridge to allow myself and my deputies better access to the residents in these areas. I plan to be in Midvale and Cambridge one day a week to make the Sheriff's department more available. With this increased feedback I can make sure that the Sheriff’s office may better meet the needs and concerns of the residents in those areas.
I am a strong believer in proactive law enforcement. I’ve seen first hand how it can help reduce crime in our community. I would like to see more training for the deputies so that they will be even more efficient at meeting the needs of Washington County and its residents.
I am looking forward to the opportunity of working with and serve all the residents of Washington County.
