I have worked with the Weiser Police department for 23 years and have a lot of faith in the services they provide for the city. I feel in a time sensitive emergency they will be there in a matter of minutes. This offers the city of Weiser a sense of safety and security that an officer will be there in their time of need.
Having been born and raised in the county, I still have family that lives there that I want to give them and every other county resident a similar response time and sense of security. Each resident, regardless of where they live in Washington County should feel that in their time of need an deputy will be there in a timely fashion.
To help reduce the response time I will work to create better shift coverage 24 hours a day 365 days a year. I want the sheriffs department to become much more familiar with the county residents and develop relationships that up to this point have not been able to be made. To this end I will make myself available in both Cambridge and Midvale one day per week.
An added benefit from having worked for the Weiser Police department as long as I have is that I will be bringing with me solid working relationships that will allow the Police department and Sheriffs department to work seamlessly to provide the County with the sense of security they deserve.
The Sheriffs department has wonderful hard working deputies who I look forward to working with. I would like to provide each one of them with opportunities for advanced training to help the citizens of Washington County in the best possible way that we can.
